South Iceland’s Action Plan 2020-2024
South Iceland’s Action Plan is a specific regional development plan for South Iceland as well as a synonym for an agreement between the local region association and the State on funding of the action plan and the Reconstruction Fund of South Iceland. The South Iceland’s Action Plan is based on the act on regional development plans and the regional action plan no. 69/2015.
The Action Plans are available for the eight regions of the country and the newest plan is valid until 2024. The Action Plans involve status assessment, vision for the future, goals and actions and were prepared after extensive consultation with the residents.
The priority projects and projects that are funded by the Reconstruction Fund are based on the action plan’s emphasis of each region.
